ICC Under-19 World Cup: India have defeated Pakistan by 58 runs in the ICC Under-19 World Cup on Sunday in Bulawayo. Batting first, India put on a challenging total of 252 in 49.5 overs. In reply, the Pakistan U-19 team got bundled out at 194 in 46.2 overs. Vedant Trivedi, who scored 68 runs, was the standout player for India in the match. With the win, the Ayush Mhatre-led side has progressed to the semi-final of the tournament. Both the openers and the captain, Ayush Mhatre, fell one after another, and all of a sudden India were 47/3 after 8.1 overs. Vihaan Makhotra and Vedant Trivedi provided some stability after that and took India past 100 runs. Ahmed Hussain broke the partnership after the pair had forged 62 runs together. Molhotra got out after scoring 21 runs. India lost its fifth wicket in the form of Abhigyan Kundu. He scored 16 runs. The wickets kept falling at regular intervals as India yearned for some cameos. Chouhan stepped up for the team and scored a valuable knock of 35 runs as India posted a competitive total of 252 in 49.5 overs.
