In reply, the Pakistan U-19 team got bundled out at 194 in 46.2 overs. Vedant Trivedi, who scored 68 runs, was the standout player for India in the match. With the win, the Ayush Mhatre-led side has progressed to the semi-final of the tournament. No handshakes or pleasantaries were shared between the captains at the toss. After being put into bat first, the Indian openers- Aaron George and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi- provided the side a solid start. The openers stitched a stand of 47 runs for the first wicket. Both the openers and the captain, Ayush Mhatre, fell one after another, and all of a sudden India were 47/3 after 8.1 overs. Vihaan Makhotra and Vedant Trivedi provided some stability after that and took India past 100 runs. Ahmed Hussain broke the partnership after the pair had forged 62 runs together. Molhotra got out after scoring 21 runs. India lost its fifth wicket in the form of Abhigyan Kundu. He scored 16 runs. The wickets kept falling at regular intervals as India yearned for some cameos. Chouhan stepped up for the team and scored a valuable knock of 35 runs as India posted a competitive total of 252 in 49.5 overs. Trivedi scored the most runs in the Chasing 253, Pakistan lost opener Sameer Minhas early. Henil Patel got the breakthrough. Following that, the other opener, Hamza Zahoor and the no.3 batter, Usman Khan, get things going. They put on 65 runs together. Chouhan dismissed Zahoor to bring India back in the match. He scored 42 off 49. The wicket brought captain Farhan Yousaf to the crease. Batting sensibly, the batters took Pakistan past 150. At 151/2 after 29.3 overs, Pakistan were nicely poised to chase down the total. But a massive collapse ensued after that, and eventually Pakistan got bundled out at 194 in 46.2 overs. Usman was the top scorer from Pakistan's side. He made 66 off 92. From the bowling end, Khilan Patel and Ayush Mhatre picked three wickets apiece. Kanishk Chouhan was adjudged the player of the match for his all-round performance.
